Dayton Chamber Member of the Month

Congratulations to We Care for being nominated and elected the November 2023 Dayton Chamber of Commerce Member of the Month.

A multi service social service organization, We Care and their 40 plus employees and volunteers have been members of the Dayton Chamber since 1990. A part of Dayton and Rhea County since 1982, the staff is still surprised at the way We Care has grown over the years and how it has adapted its services and programs to the changing needs in the community. One of the best things about We Care serving the needy in Rhea County is helping people help themselves. With the best, comes the hardest, the hardest in this case is raising the monetary resources necessary to sustain the services provided to the community. We Care operates one of the little-known best deals in town, a small grocery store called the “We Care Friendly Budget Market”. The market sells after market wholesale goods at approximately 50% discount compared to area retailers. The market is located at the foot of Dayton Mountain. We Care’s plans for the future is to continue building their Tiny House Transitional Houseless Shelter and explore ways to provide affordable housing for the community, which is one of the greatest needs at this present time.  Long term goals are announcing a capital campaign in mid-2024 to launch their initiative to provide affordable housing here in Rhea County.
